Privacy Policy

Summary

AnyTools has two parts, and they treat your data differently.

• The tools run in your browser. The JSON you paste, the files you open and the passwords you generate stay on your device. They need no account, and nothing you put into them reaches us, apart from the two exceptions below.
• The study app opens after you sign in with Google or GitHub. It keeps what you choose to save in it. It calls AI models and web search only through the accounts and keys you connect yourself.

We run no analytics, no ads, no trackers and no session recording, in either part.

The tools

A tool's input is processed by JavaScript in your browser. We have no copy of what you formatted, converted, generated or checked.

Two tools need our server:

• the curl to code converter sends the command you paste to our server, which parses it, returns the code and discards the command without logging it;
• the currency converter asks our server for exchange rates. The request names only the currencies, and your amounts stay in your browser. The server takes the rates from Frankfurter, which publishes the European Central Bank's reference rates.

The study app

When you sign in, we keep:

• your email address and display name, from Google or GitHub, to recognise you;
• what you add and make: the documents and files you upload, notes, quizzes and your answers, review history, worksheets, recordings and the rest of your study material;
• the AI and search connections you add. Their keys are encrypted before they are stored, are never shown back to you in full, and are kept out of logs.

Your files are stored on our server, or in your own Google Drive if you choose that in Settings.

When a feature needs a model or a web search, the request goes to the provider you connected, with your key and under that provider's terms. The parts of your material the request needs travel with it. AnyTools has no AI key of its own and sends your material to no other provider.

Some features fetch public pages when you ask them to: a web page, video or feed you add, paper details from OpenAlex, and items from your Zotero library once you connect it.

Connected apps

You choose which apps to connect on Learning apps, and you can disconnect each one there at any time. Disconnecting revokes AnyLearn's access at the app; what you already imported stays in AnyLearn until you delete it.

• Google Drive (drive.file): AnyLearn opens only the files you pick in Google's own picker and the files it creates for you (your stored files, exports, and docs for NotebookLM). It cannot see the rest of your Drive.
• Google Calendar (calendar.app.created): AnyLearn creates one calendar of its own, named AnyLearn, and writes your review times and study days into it. It cannot read your other calendars.
• Google Classroom (read-only: your classes, their materials, your own coursework and announcements): AnyLearn lists a class when you open it and imports only the items you tick. It never posts, submits or changes anything in Classroom.
• Google Photos (picker only): AnyLearn receives only the photos you pick in Google's picker, once, and reads them as page photos.
• Google Forms and Sheets: through the Drive permission above, AnyLearn opens only the form or sheet you pick, and creates forms only when you ask.
• Email in: mail you send or forward to your AnyLearn address becomes documents. AnyLearn never reads your mailbox and asks for no Gmail permission.
• Canva and Notion: AnyLearn reads only the designs you choose and the pages you share with it in Notion, and writes only what you send there.

AnyLearn's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google, Canva and Notion is used only to provide the features you turned on: it is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train AI models, and not read by people except to fix a problem you report, with your consent. Tokens for these apps are encrypted before they are stored.

Cookies and storage

The tools set no cookies. Your light or dark theme is kept in your browser's local storage.

The study app sets a session cookie when you sign in, and a short-lived cookie during sign-in itself. Both are needed for the app to work, and neither follows you anywhere else.

Deleting your data

Settings → Account deletes your account and everything in it. Access you granted to Google Drive is revoked first. Files in your own Google Drive stay there: they are yours, and we do not delete them.

Third parties

Hosting: Hetzner (Germany, EU). Network and DNS: Cloudflare. Sign-in: Google and GitHub. AI and search: only the providers you connect. Learning apps: Google, Canva and Notion, only those you connect; mail in arrives through Cloudflare Email Routing. Each works under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, for its correction, or for its deletion, by writing to support@anytools.world. We answer within 30 days. Residents of the EU have further rights under the GDPR, residents of Vietnam under its personal data protection law, and residents of California under the CCPA.

Children

AnyTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We update this policy when the product changes. The date at the top says when it last changed.
